Are shoe desserts a thing?
Chocolatiers have been shaping chocolates into different shapes for centuries now. However, the trend of shaping chocolate like everyday objects that are not related to desserts is relatively recent.
Chocolates or desserts in the shape of shoes are also a relative novelty. However, not all cultures welcome them.
For example, Japan witnessed furore in 2018 when a chef served Prime Minister Shinzo Abe dessert in a shoe.
Abe was on a visit to Israel when it happened. He was attending a state dinner with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu when the incident took place.
