Bollywood power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who got married recently, seem to be keeping their fans entertained even off camera! This was all the more apparent when Ranveer seemed to get a little naughty over what was veritably a “Deepika Dosa.”
The naming of food after celebs is nothing new: Restaurants and hospitality establishments have done it for decades.
However, not often to the people after whom a dish is named react to them. That is what Deepika did, and Ranveer’s reply to it has many netizens in splits!
The Deepika Dosa
It all started when a fan pointed out to Deepika on Twitter that a restaurant in Austin, the capital city of the state of Texas in the United States, had named a dosa — a savoury crepe made from fermented rice or lentil powder in South India — after her.
See the post here:
The restaurant, named Dosa Labs, is selling the Deepika Padukone Dosa for $10.
It claims to have ghost pepper — Bhut Jolokia, once the word’s hottest chilli — in it.
Soon after the existence of this food item was pointed out to the actress, she shared this Deepika Dosa with her fans on Instagram.
Many people reacted to her Instagram story, but possibly the most hilarious and naughty response came from her spouse, Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer, who is basking in the recent success of his film Simmba, included this image in his story as well. However, he added the words “I’d eat that” to it!
